Destiny 2 Case Wrap

Project Overview

I had the opportunity to design a limited edition, custom-wrapped PC case for Destiny 2 as part of a collaboration between NZXT and Bungie. This giveaway piece was designed to connect deeply with fans through thoughtful, lore-rich visual storytelling.

The front panel showcases The Traveler, surrounded by radiating geometric designs inspired by the game’s UI and class system animations. I pulled direct visual cues from Destiny’s in-game interfaces, especially the shifting icons representing Warlock, Hunter, and Titan, to create something layered, intentional, and unmistakably Destiny.

On the back panel, I incorporated abstract cosmic schematics and a stylized "Guardian Command Center" with tech readouts like “Shields: 100%” and “Airflow: Optimal.” It’s a cheeky nod to both the game and the product functionality.

To further enhance the lore connection, I added an Ace of Spades sticker as a subtle tribute to fan-favorite character Cayde-6. It brought a fun, emotional element that fans of the series would instantly recognize and appreciate.

I also applied worn, distressed textures across the case to give it that battle-tested look, mirroring the aesthetic of the Traveler itself.

See the Results

The final mockups were enthusiastically approved by the client, with just a few tweaks: the geometric overlays were reversed, and the front panel was updated with a frosted finish for added texture and light diffusion. The finished product was released as a limited edition giveaway, and the response was overwhelmingly positive.
