3D
A sampling of some of my 3D work from my career thus far.
Princess Theater Model
3D game asset inspired by Decatur, Alabama's very own Princess Theater. This is one of the most iconic landmarks in Decatur. I developed a high-poly model and then a low-poly model was created from the high-poly for game engine optimization.
The model was painted and textured in Substance Painter.
Blender Game Engine Experiment - Gloomy Sunday
Experimenting with Blender's Game Engine. Created a first person camera and environment with minimal particle effects. Clips shot in realtime in the Blender Game Engine. This blender game engine project took me only 2-3 hours to set everything up. I would still define this as 'very rough'. I'd like to go back over this and add smaller plants, rubbish collected at the front of the building, etc. I decided to call this short scene 'Gloomy Sunday'. I built the model of the Princess Theater from the ground up. A low poly model was created from my high poly in order to optimize for game engine rendering.
Teaching 3D Online and Through Skillshare
My knowledge of 3D software like Blender and Adobe Dimension has been applied in educational roles. I have taught a small online group how to use Blender 3D by leading live online training sessions and providing training documents, course files, and end of session projects/assignments.
Most recently, I’ve released a class on Skillshare that teaches designers how to design and mockup enamel pins in 3D. This class is quickly gaining popularity and I have received direct contact from Skillshare stating:
“Mary here from Skillshare. I wanted to reach out to let you know that your class has been selected for a featured slot on our Graphic Design browse page. We think your class is terrific - less than one percent of classes are chosen for these features…”
Fireplace Renderings
3D work for online product display created for local company. This fireplace was modeled from scratch using client blueprints and presented as an option for product display through their website.
