So, lately I've been putting a lot of effort into developing my digital painting skills. I've purchased two more books from the Digital Painting Techniques series ( Volume 2 and Volume 3). I already had the first volume. These books have helped me IMMENSELY! They have step by step techniques with corresponding images. I highly recommend them if you are looking to increase your digital painting skills. Matt Kohr also as some AWESOME tutorial videos for improving your skills or learning the basics. I've also purchased some of his videos. He has some free video tutorials as well.

That being said, I've been generating a lot of thumbnails in efforts to get better. I finally decided to create a quick thumbnail template in Photoshop so I wouldn't have to recreate everything every time I went to draw up some quick thumbnails for my next project. INFO ABOUT THE TEMPLATE: This is a PSD file. I went ahead and masked each square. You don't need to worry about staying inside those pesky lines ;). Feel free to edit it to fit your needs.
