Gamers Can Be Girly Too: IPSY Glam Bag December 2015 Review

So, for those of you who don't know I'm a pretty big gamer. Not only do I LOVE playing video games, but I also dabble in game development. My most recent development has been in Blender's game engine where I created an awesome wooded theater setting in the engine. Back to the subject at hand. I think there's a misconception/stereotype about girl gamers. Firstly, there are more than us than you think! We aren't that much of a rarity as most people think. According to a Washington Post article more women play games than teenage boys! The statistics are pretty surprising. Secondly, just because we like games doesn't make us 'Tomboys'. That being said let's get down to business!

I've recently become a new subscriber to the IPSY Glam Bag. I've tried a similar service like Birchbox, but I'm thinking I might like IPSY better. The glam bag is only $10 a month (Like Birchbox). You sign up and fill out a style profile that fit your preferences. The questions range from how light/dark your skin is, your hair type (oily/dry), etc. IPSY then selects products for you to sample based on your profile and sends them in a cute bag monthly. I should note that the bags are different each month. This month's (Pictured below) is cute red textured pouched bag. Let's dive in!

Cute note with illustrations. It feels personal with all the portraits, signatures, and 'thank you' text

I don't know about all those percentages, but I'm willing to give this a try. Mascara advertising always makes me laugh because they seem to sell it like your eyelashes are magically going to grow

Full size black eyeliner. Don't get me wrong I'm not complaining. I'm very surprised to see full size products in a 'sample bag'.

Another full size product. Wow! I've actually tried Pacifica lotion before and I really liked it. I appreciate this brand's used of 'better for you' ingredients.

This isn't full size, but it's 3-4x the size of your typical fragrance sample. I also appreciate the spray nozzle. I've never been crazy about dabbing myself trying not to accidentally pour it everywhere.

CONCLUSION

Wow! Like I said before, I think I'm going to switch over permanently from my Birchbox subscription to IPSY. Don't get me wrong, Birchbox is great, but I love how much BIGGER the products are, and I feel like the items are more catered to my preferences of what I actually use.

What do you think? Enjoy my post?

I'd sure appreciate a like or a share! Thanks!
